Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Tunku Abdul Rahman University) is a private university in Malaysia. The university is also known by the acronym UTAR, which is part of the university's emblem. It was established under a foundation called UTAR Education Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation. This university operates two campuses or campuses in two locations, namely, Bandar Sungai Long, which are located within a valley called the Klang Valley while one is located in the Kampar town of the state of Perak, which once was renowned for its tin-mining activities. In June 2015, Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur campuses have moved to Bandar Sungai Long campuses.

The university admitted 411 students in June 2002 for its first intake. It is evident that the university's student population has grown rapidly over the years. According to one of the university's publication, it now has a student enrolment of more than 24,000 students. For a start, the university offered only eight honours degree programmes but the university now offers more than 117 programmes which include foundation, undergraduate as well as postgraduate degree programmes covering numerous disciplines of study and research. Those programmes are accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) & Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and recognised by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA). Furthermore, UTAR's Accounting degree are recognised by CPA, FPAM, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CTIM, ICSA & MICPA. Other than that, UTAR's Quantity Surveying degree are recognised by BQSM and RICS, meanwhile UTAR's Engineering degree programmes are recognised by BEM and IEM.

The university is a creature of the Act of Parliament known as the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971, with its constitution laid down under the Universities and University Colleges (Variation of, and Addition to, the Constitution)(Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin) Order 2010. It is the first full-fledged university in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and the first university to be based on the “cluster” concept. It is also the first university in Malaysia to be modelled after University of London, United Kingdom.

The university has 4 campuses located in Gong Badak (Main Campus), Kuala Terengganu/Kota (Medical Campus), Besut (Tembila Campus) and the latest is Unisza International Campus (UIC) in Kuala Lumpur City. The university has 9 faculties located in different campuses which offer programs in diploma, bachelor’s and master’s level as well as doctor of philosophy.

The university is considered the biggest "comprehensive university" in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and to be one of the most respected Islamic-based institution of higher learning in Malaysia. It has produced thousands of graduates in any fields, since its establishment in 1980.

Curtin University (a trademark of Curtin University of Technology) is an Australian public university based in Bentley, Perth, Western Australia. The University is named after the 14th Prime Minister of Australia, John Curtin, and is the largest university in Western Australia, with over 50,000 students (as of 2014).

Curtin was conferred University status after the legislation was passed by the State Government of Western Australia in 1986. Since then, the University has been expanding its presence and currently has campuses in Sydney, Singapore, and Sarawak. It has ties with 90 exchange universities in more than 20 countries. The University comprises five main faculties with over 95 specialists centres.

Curtin was awarded five-stars overall in the annual QS Stars university ratings for 2014. Curtin is ranked 284 by QS World University Rankings 2013. As of 2013, the University is also ranked in The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) as one of the top 500 world universities.

To date, Curtin Creative Writing staff and alumni have won the Miles Franklin Award a total of 7 times.

Curtin University is a member of Australian Technology Network (ATN), and is active in research in a range of academic and practical fields, including (but not limited to) Resources and Energy (e.g. petroleum gas), Information and Communication, Health, Ageing and Well-being (Public Health), Communities and Changing Environments, and Growth and Prosperity and Creative Writing. It is the only Western Australian university to produce a PhD recipient of the AINSE gold medal, which is the highest recognition for PhD-level research excellence in Australia and New Zealand.

Curtin has become active in research and partnerships overseas, particularly in mainland China. It is involved in a number of business, management, and research projects, particularly in supercomputing, where the university participates in a tri-continental array with nodes in Perth, Beijing, and Edinburgh. Western Australia has become an important exporter of minerals, petroleum and natural gas. The Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited the Woodside-funded hydrocarbon research facility during his visit to Australia in 2005.

Swinburne University of Technology (often simply referred to as Swinburne) is an Australian public university of technology based in Melbourne, Victoria. Swinburne was founded in 1908 by the Honourable George Swinburne as the Eastern Suburbs Technical College. Its foundation campus is located in Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne which is located 7.5 km from the Melbourne central business district.

In its first year, it enrolled 80 students in subjects including carpentry, plumbing and gas fitting. Today, Swinburne operates five campuses in two countries and has an enrolment of 60,000 students across vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

In addition to its main Hawthorn campus, Swinburne has campuses in the Melbourne metropolitan area at Wantirna and Croydon. Swinburne also has a campus in Sarawak, Malaysia which it has operated in partnership with the Sarawak State Government since 2000. Swinburne also has an online campus, Swinburne Online, which has been in operation since 2011.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (also known as University of Technology, Malaysia or UTM) is the oldest public engineering and technological university in Malaysia. The university specialises in technical studies, with separate faculties for the engineering divisions such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Biomedical engineering. The Twintech International University College of Technology, or Twintech for short, is a private publicly funded university college in Malaysia. The main campus is in Bandar Sri Damansara, Selangor.

Twintech International University College of Technology, formerly known as L&G-Twintech Institute of Technology, is a private institution of higher learning licensed by the Ministry of Education. The university college is owned and managed by Twintech Holding Sdn. Bhd.

The university was founded to provide training in the fields of Architecture & Built Environment, Business & Finance, Computer Science & Multimedia, Engineering & Industrial Technology, Biotechnology, Nursing & Health Science, Optometry, Education, Music & Performing Art.

Twintech started from a modest, rented premises in Setapak. Presently, it has three campuses at Bandar Sri Damansara, Kota Kinabalu, and Kota Bharu with facilities and amenities, including computing suites, engineering laboratories, architectural studios, and biotechnology laboratories.

Twintech has around 4,000 students studying local and overseas twinning programmes. Approximately 150 local and overseas full-time lecturers support the academic programmes at Twintech.

All programmes will be awarded internally; some will be quality-controlled by universities from United Kingdom and local universities. The university offers programme such B. Optometry (Hons), B. Nursing, B. Biotechnology and more. Over 61 programmes are under approval status, another 42 programmes are within provisional status and 24 programmes are fully accredited status with the MQA (Malaysian Qualifications Agency).

Bandar Sri Damansara is the main campus. The main campus is home for seven faculties: Engineering & Industrial Technology, Architecture & Build Environment, Nursing & Health Sciences, Computer Science & Multimedia, Education, Music & Performing Art. In the same location, there are Wisma Twintech home two faculties: Faculty of Optometry and Faculty of Biotechnology.
