    • The University of Queensland Business School is located in Brisbane, Australia and is the business school of the University of Queensland, one of the country’s oldest universities and a member of Group of Eight coalition. There are seven areas of research expertise across UQ Business School: Accounting, Business Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, Strategy and Tourism.

The school, which was then called the Department of Business Administration, offered its first MBA in 1972 - incidentally, the very first in Queensland. The school was renamed the (Graduate) School of Management in 1984. UQ Business School, as it is called today, was formed in 2002. It became the first business school in Australia to meet the standards of the accrediting bodies - the US-based AACSB International and Europe’s EQUIS.

The Economist has ranked the UQ Business School 14th in its 2013 Global Business School Rankings and 1st in the Asia-Pacific. The 2013 Australian Financial Review BOSS MBA Rankings saw the UQ Business School pipping the Melbourne Business School for the number 1 rank in Australia.
